One of the world’s most historic and fascinating destinations, Istanbul is located literally where west and east meet. The city was built on the banks of the Bosphorus River (on seven hills) and over the centuries has been regarded as the gateway to Asia from Europe. If you are searching for a charming boutique hotel in Istanbul, the 3 star GalataLife Istanbul Hotel might be just the right hotel for you. It is close to the tourist sites of Sultanahmet, the cafés and bars of Tunel and about 50 meters from the famous Galata Tower.
In days gone by, the Galatalife Istanbul hotel was once a bakery. Today, this historic building remembers its former origins by baking their own baked goods for the clientele. The hotel’s restaurant offers both Turkish food and international cuisine on the menu and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There are just five guest rooms in the Hotel, ...

At the current time, the Hotel Buyuk Sahinler in Istanbul is not making their hotel guests happy and on this basis, we don’t recommend staying here until the owners and management make some badly needed renovations. In what could be an ideal accommodation option for travelers and families, the Hotel Buyuk Sahinler, a three star property doesn’t really deserve this rating. Guests of the Sahinler Buyuk Hotel have complained of the lack of professionalism of the staff to the point of rudeness, the dirtiness of the rooms and the need for new linens and towels. The place is run-down and in bad need of repair.
The Buyuk Sahinler Hotel is located in the historic Laleli district at Mesih Pasa Cad.No:73. It’s a large hotel offering 133 hotel rooms. The hotel rooms are big, which would be great for family accommodation, if only they’d fix and clean up the place and get some ...

If you get the chance to visit Istanbul, consider yourself extremely lucky. This is one of the most fascinating cities in the world. One of the best ways to see Istanbul is by walking around the city, but you can also take a taxi, bus or tram between the different neighborhoods and see more of the city and experience the famous traffic jams of Istanbul. Maintain your sense of humor at all costs. Nevertheless, a walking tour of Istanbul or an Istanbul City Tour by bus are the best ways to experience all of Istanbul’s tourist attractions.
Istanbul is widely considered to be one of the world’s great cities because this ancient city which straddles two continents and sits on seven hills offers visitors many things to see and do.
Dining in Istanbul is not always cheap, but it’s really not that difficult to find authentic Turkish food at a reasonable price. If you are staying in a budget hotel in Istanbul and they have a restaurant such as the Med Cezir Hotel, you’re in luck. Sample the food at your hotel’s restaurant and then venture out into the streets of Istanbul. There are more restaurants and cafes waiting to be discovered. Make sure that you avoid the main tourist areas and watch to see where the locals eat. You are most likely to find budget food in the Anatolian Asian side of Istanbul, rather than the European part of the city but if you venture across the Galata bridge into Eminönü you’ll have some choices.
Turkish food is delicious and can be inexpensive. It includes lots of meat (although no pork, as this is a Muslim country) and yoghurt, as well ...

Istanbul is an exotic and alluring place to visit. Set between Europe and Asia, the city embraces both cultures at once, creating its own unique blend of culture. Estimates have the number of citizens in this huge city at up to nearly 20 million, giving the impression that everyone wants to be here and make it in this amazing city. Although the culture and crowds have been known to overwhelm foreigners, staying in one of the many Istanbul hostels brings one right to the roots of the very society they wish to explore. Staying in this type of accommodation in Istanbul enables the traveller to familiarize themselves from the ground up. The effort will be worthwhile, but preparing and booking ahead of time limits the lost and bewildered kind of feeling one gets when arriving in a city at a late hour and not knowing where to stay.
